Reception and Call Centre Operations

Course Description

This course will equip you with the skills required to be a competent front line representative across a wide range of organisations with an emphasis on you becoming customer focused.  These soft skills will be developed in addition to the necessary computer and administrative expertise essential for office careers.

 

The qualification will assist you when seeking employment on reception desks, in customer service departments as well as equipping you to work in general office administration.  

 

The course will also provide an alternative access route to several Higher Certificate, Ordinary and Honours Degrees at Institutes of Technology and Universities.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements for On-Line Applicants:

  • Leaving Certificate, LCVP, LCA or a level 4 certificate
  • or have reached the age of 18. 
  • Mature student

Work Experience

Work Experience is a core element of this programme providing an opportunity to put skills developed on the programme into use in a real working environment.  It allows students to create links with employers. 

Career Opportunities

Graduates may progress within KCFE to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Office Management or Business Management.  

Alternatively, graduates can compete for places on a range of Higher Certificate and Degree programmes in third level institutions.

Customer Service Representative, Customer Care and Support, Telesales Agent, Call Centre Operator, Receptionist, Office Administration etc.  Examples of employers may include Vodafone, Three, FEXCO, Call Centres, Hotels,  etc.
